Thresholds, management addresses, and weights should be carefully examined and set reasonably. Once they are confirmed and recorded on the blockchain, the operation becomes irreversible.
Permission changes are carried out in the order of activation first and then ownership, which will consume two transaction (trx) instances.
After becoming familiar with the operation, execute functions such as modifying owner and active permissions, and even adding new permissions, all within the permission settings. This will further economize on transaction usage.
1、Open TokenPocket and click on the top right corner of the blue area [Details] to open the [Permission Management] menu.
2、The interface for permission management is primarily divided into three main categories. One category is owner permission management, which includes permission replacement and setting up multi-signature capabilities. The second category is active permission management, which also involves permission replacement and multi-signature setup. The third category involves adding a new active permission. For instance, the functionality of automatically transferring leased energy, it's achieved by adding a new active permission and granting specific energy-related permissions.
2.1、Clicking on the permission settings of the owner, you can see that the "Permission Name" is editable. However, considering that it costs 100 TRX to modify the permission name alone, very few people would set it up this way. The owner's permission is a full permission, and you can find the specifics in the "Permission" list for editing permissions.
2.2、Threshold (Minimum Signature Weight): The threshold refers to the minimum combined weight of signatures required to perform an on-chain operation for managing addresses. The operation can proceed only when the sum of weights meets or exceeds the threshold. The maximum value that the threshold can be set to is 100.
The default setting for managing the wallet here is the current address, where the following '1' represents the current weight parameter, and the subsequent trash bin symbol indicates that this management address can be deleted.
Add wallet management, which allows the addition of managed addresses through custom input, wallet import, and QR code scanning. The default weight after addition is 1, which can be adjusted based on the actual situation.
The owner permission can be used for replacement (single signature) or setting multiple management addresses (multi-signature). If a multi-signature is set up, it is recommended to set it up sensibly, for example, using a 2/3 configuration. This means that only 2 out of 3 management addresses need to sign for the execution. Even if one management address is lost, normal operation is still possible. Once the owner permission is configured, click "Save" to save the settings and return to the initial interface of "Edit Permissions."
2.3、The permission configuration for "active" follows the same process. The only difference is that "active" allows for flexible permission settings. By clicking the "Edit" function, you can configure the execution permissions. It is recommended that unfamiliar users refrain from making arbitrary modifications, as doing so may affect the execution of certain on-chain operations.
The same "active" can also directly replace the permission address (single signature). It can also set multiple management wallets (multi-signature). Setting appropriate thresholds, management addresses, and weights can provide a more secure and flexible asset management. After configuring the parameters for "active," you can click the "Confirm" button at the bottom to save the parameters.
2.4、The addition of permission functionality is only applicable to the "active" mode. Its operations are the same as those mentioned above. This feature is used relatively infrequently. For example, in TokenPocket's "Energy Leasing" service, it allows for the automatic execution of energy leasing operations under the "active" permission.
3、Once you have confirmed that parameters such as 'owner' and 'active' are all set, clicking on the bottom button labeled "Confirm Permission Upgrade" will trigger a security prompt. It is crucial to carefully review whether the thresholds, weights, and management addresses you have configured are accurate and appropriate. After clicking "Understand and Continue," you will proceed to the final transaction execution interface. Here, you can still review the completeness and accuracy of the executed actions within the "Upgrade Details." After verifying, click "Confirm Changes" and proceed to pay the Gas (network fees) to finalize the permission update operation for the TRON address.
